March 19, 2021 the teachers of the Department of English Philology and Translation of the Faculty of Social and Linguistic Communication organized an online meeting with students of grades 10-11 of 7 institutions of general secondary education:
1) Dmytro Chernyavskyi Bakhmut comprehensive school of grades I-III No. 18 of the Bakhmut city council of the Donetsk region;
2) Belokuzminiv secondary school of grades I-III of the Kostiantyniv district council of the Donetsk region;
3) Communal institution "Ivanopol Institution of General Secondary Education of the Kramatorsk District Council" of the Donetsk region;
4) Markiv secondary school of grades I-III of the Kostyantyniv district council of the Donetsk region;
5) Novodmytriv educational complex of the Kostiantyniv district council of the Donetsk region;
6) Institution of general secondary education of I-III degrees No. 7 of the military-civilian administration of the city of Toretsk, Donetsk region;
7) Institution of general secondary education of I-III degrees No. 13 of the military-civilian administration of the city of Toretsk, Donetsk region.
The meeting began with informing potential applicants about GIIIM as a structurally separate unit of the DVNZ DDPU (city of Bakhmut), the faculties of the higher education institution, the specialties of the faculties, the opportunity to study on a budget basis and receive a scholarship, the necessary certificates of external examination for admission to the specialty, the passing score, the educational center "Donbass-Ukraine", comfortable conditions of study and recreation, highly qualified teachers, the official website and social networks of the GIIIM. Guests were also offered to watch the video "Through the Walls of the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages".
After the official part, the meeting continued with an informative and intellectual event dedicated to the national cultural and religious holiday of Ireland - St. Patrick's Day (March 17 - the day of commemoration), which the translation students of the 141 group prepared for the guests. The attention of those present was offered to the attention of meaningful and bright presentations, quizzes and videos with a demonstration of the symbols of the historical provinces of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales), a story about the origin and traditions of celebrating St. Patrick's Day around the world: parades and festivals, performing Keili dances and wearing green clothes, decorating them with shamrocks.
