This international calendar event was sponsored by Insafe in 2004. It is celebrated annually on the second day of the second week of February. February 8, 2022 in Ukraine and the world celebrates Safer Internet Day under the slogan "Together for the best Internet".

The goal of the Internet Safety Day is to spread knowledge about the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technologies for children and young people.

In total, the World Internet Security Day is celebrated in more than a hundred countries and is coordinated by the integrated network Insafe / INHOPE, with the support of the European Commission and the 31st National Center for Internet Security across Europe.

The importance of the issue of safe Internet is due to the fact that modern man can not imagine his life without the global network, because it provides a lot of information and opportunities. The younger generation is not always aware of what can await him in cyberspace. The importance of the problem of safe Internet needs constant attention from the educational institution and parents.
