On October 20, 2022, the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages of the Donbas State Pedagogical University, together with the Institute of History of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the National Union of Local Historians, the Donetsk National University named after Vasyl Stus, and the Bakhmut Museum of Local Lore with international participation "Regionalism in the Civilization Dimension: Directions and Prospects for Progress."
In view of the full-scale war, this year the organizers held it in a "round table" format. Problems became the subject of discussion "Regionalists in conditions of hybrid threats and full-scale war". The conference was held within the framework of the Erasmus+ project "Academic Counteraction to Hybrid Threats" WARN 610133-EPP-1-2019-1-FI-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP.
Participating in the discussion, in particular, were professor, director of the Center for Eastern Europe of Marie Curie-Skłodowska University Valentin Balyuk (Lublin, Poland), senior researcher of the Institute of History of Ukraine, NAS of Ukraine Volodymyr Molchanov, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Ivan Balikin, master of history and master of law Oleg Romanenko. The head of the Donetsk Regional Union of Local Historians Valery Romanko took part in the conference.
The reports and messages of the conference participants will be published in the next edition of the collection of scientific works "Edges of History". Thanks to a scholarship from the project "Support to Ukrainian Editorial Staff" (SUES - Support to Ukrainian Editorial Staff), publication in the collection is free.
