Every year on January 22, on the day of the proclamation of the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the West Ukrainian People's Republic, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Unity. Officially, this holiday was established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine "On the Day of the Assembly of Ukraine" dated November 13, 2014 No. 871.
The act of Zluka became a historical unification of Ukrainian lands in one state.
The idea of unity was and remains a basic national value of Ukrainians. And now it is a prerequisite for the success of our resistance to external aggression. Today, for Ukraine, unity means the de-occupation of all territories captured by the enemy, restoration of unity with Donetsk region, Luhansk region and Crimea.
Congregationalism involves not only the memory of the common past, but also requires united cooperation for the sake of the future. The All-Ukrainian round table "One, united, cathedral and indivisible Ukraine!", which was held at the initiative of the Poltava National Pedagogical University named after V. G. Korolenko, was dedicated to this. The round table meeting was attended by representatives of state institutions, military personnel, scientists, teachers, and education seekers from all regions of Ukraine.
