Observance of gender equality is important in all spheres of social life, particularly in science. That is why, in 2015, the UN General Assembly declared February 11 the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the main purpose of which is to call for overcoming the gender imbalance, namely: limitations in the field of science, technology and innovation, achieving qualitative changes in the process of involving women in scientific activities, creating appropriate conditions for their successful development as researchers. After all, the number of master's, doctor of philosophy and doctor of science degrees in the world is approximately 30 %.
However, GIIIM can be considered a pleasant exception, since 68 % scientific and pedagogical workers in it are female, a similar ratio is also among students engaged in scientific work.
So, our dear scientists, we congratulate you on the holiday! We wish you new creative flights, inspiration and creativity!
