Ukraine celebrates the 209th anniversary of the birth of the Ukrainian poet, artist, novelist and public figure Taras Shevchenko.

Ukrainians around the world, generation after generation, continue to honor Shevchenko and celebrate his extremely important contribution to the development of Ukrainian literature and the formation of our national consciousness and identification. Lines from "Kobzar" never cease to be relevant and are constantly heard in Ukraine and abroad.
