On May 3, 2023, teachers of the Department of Ukrainian Philology and students of the OP Secondary Education (Ukrainian Language and Literature). Psychology attended the public lecture of Ludmila Popovych, a professor at the University of Belgrade, "Protection of the Ukrainian language as a minority language in the light of the European Charter of Regional or Minority Languages."

The issue of supporting the functioning and development of the Ukrainian language in European countries is today more timely than ever. After all, it is not only about its preservation as part of the cultural heritage and the linguistic integration of refugees from Ukraine, but also about the support of our state in the war for its independence.

We are sincerely grateful to the lecturer for maintaining a high level of academicism in the coverage of extremely relevant and requested problems for today.
