To develop organizational and communication skills, it is necessary to develop leadership qualities. It is worth making a list of qualities that you lack and setting deadlines, after which you should become more persistent, more purposeful, more organized and more communicative.
Simple diagnosis
At the modern stage of life, whole batteries of tests have been created to detect these abilities, however, most of them are too cumbersome to be used regularly. Therefore, high organizational skills can be assessed literally in a few minutes, independently and absolutely free of charge. Leaders always adhere to a common set of values, which include such concepts as justice and equality, impartiality, integrity, honesty and trust.
And you can assess your leadership ability using the following criteria:
- continuous self-improvement. If you don't do it yourself, you won't be able to motivate others.
- orientation to serving others. In any situation, you must ask yourself what the other person needs, in addition to what you personally need.
- radiation of positive energy and benevolence and avoidance of negative perception.
- faith in other people. The leader must see their potential, value and good qualities.
- rational distribution of forces and time.
- inner confidence and optimism.
- self-criticism, tolerance and recognition of other people's merits. Not many, but most of us admit that we live exclusively in our own interests, without paying attention to others. Don't be surprised, the world responds in kind.
We want to offer some useful exercises, the implementation of which will contribute to the development of your organizational and communication skills:
"Pantomime" – practice in front of a mirror to portray different emotions (anger, excitement, joy, etc.), which will contribute to the adequate transfer of information to your subordinates.
"Singing" - another exercise for the adequate transfer of emotions, you need to ask questions and answer with the help of singing.
"Persuasiveness" - write your wish on a piece of paper and try to convince the opponent that he must fulfill what he wrote.
"Get out of the circle" - the leader's task in this exercise is to persuade a person to leave the drawn circle.
Thus, an objective self-assessment will give an opportunity to understand whether you have leadership or organizational qualities. But even if this is not your strongest side, there is nothing wrong with that. There are not many bright leaders in the world who can ignite a crowd with a word. Start with yourself, with your workplace, with your communication skills. Become a real professional in your field, learn to value time and resources, and then your organizational skills will definitely show.
