10 tips to help you cope with stress during wartime.

For every Ukrainian, to a greater or lesser extent, life changed in one day — February 24, 2022. Anxiety, uncertainty about the future, worries about relatives and friends keep us in a state of constant stress during the entire period of military operations on the territory of our country. And not everyone can cope with this stress.

1. Switch your attention, shift your emphasis to the outside world.

Watch what makes you happy: how nature blooms, the sounds of the wind, the rustling of leaves and the singing of birds in a quiet park. Concentrate on what you see and hear in this moment. Be outdoors more often. Make it a habit to walk in the forest or park for an hour every day.

2. Do sports.

At the same time, it is not necessary to go to the gym, morning exercise and a light jog will be enough. A positive charge for the day is provided.

3. Change the picture, go on a trip.

On the streets of my hometown, European countries or my native Carpathians. New impressions and positive emotions will help distract you, at least for a while.

4. Find a favorite hobby.

This is a great stress reliever. Ask yourself: What do I like to do? Maybe write poems, sew, knit, cook culinary masterpieces or study psychology. We found out the answer. Good. And now, without delay, begin. It will make you calmer and happier.

5. Communicate with relatives and people close to you.

Support them in this difficult time, it is very important both for them and for you. This will give you the opportunity to pour out your soul and talk. Take care of others. Now any help is appropriate and necessary.

6. Take baths.

A warm evening bath with sea salt and soothing essential oils will provide you with 100% pacification, and most importantly, a quiet and healthy sleep.

7. Smile more often.

A person smiles in response to events, and not always positive ones. Despite the fact that a smile is considered a sign of friendliness, sympathy or joy, it helps to calm down in a dangerous situation. Laughter is the best stress reliever.

8. Stop feeling sorry for yourself.

It should be understood that there are both bad and good moments in life. Be grateful for what you have. Gratitude is a good way to prevent stress. Instead of constant dissatisfaction, you will begin to find joy in what you have.

9. Dream and fantasize.

There is a technique in positive psychology called "Visualization". Its essence is that you dream about what you want, do it with pleasure and in the present tense. This will allow you to get what you pictured in your imagination, make a list of what makes you happy. If you want to change the situation, you only need to look ahead and be able to draw for yourself a new life with new opportunities. These classes are your salvation from stress.

10. Live beautifully.

Dress as elegantly or unusually as possible, use beautiful dishes and everything that can make your life better now. Distract yourself with something pleasant and do what brings you maximum pleasure.
