Recently, Scopus indexed an article by the team of scientists of the institute in the "International Journal of Literary Humanities". The work is entitled "Modernism and Realism in English and French Military Literature." The authors are O.V. Horlova, N.A. Potreba, L.V. Sukhovetska, M.V. Zharikova, L.V. Kokorina.
The relevance of the research lies in increasing the interest of modern literary circles in the study of literary currents of the 20th century, in particular, modernism and realism and their means of expression. For a better understanding of individual styles and artistic techniques, the work analyzes the works in literary, linguistic, and partly historical aspects, draws general conclusions, and outlines the prospects for further study of the work of writers of the First World War period.
During this research project, the authors came to the conclusion that writers used both English and French to convey their perception of the First World War, to describe individual and social experiences. Using artistic images and linguistic techniques, the artists expressed the ideas of humanism, patriotism, mutual aid, the desire for peace - values that are relevant even for modern generations.
The materials of this work will be of interest to a wide range of readers, in particular, literary experts, linguists, and historians.
