On October 26-27, the 7th Scientific and Practical Online Conference "Regional Studies in the Civilizational Dimension: Directions and Prospects of Progress" was held, which was co-organized by the Institute of History of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Union of Local Historians, the Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University, the Bakhmut Museum of Local Lore, the Horliv Institute of foreign languages of the Donbas State Pedagogical University. For the first time, the preparation of the conference took place on the Peers open review platform. International, which is developed and supported within the framework of the project "Open practices, transparency and integrity for modern higher education". The participants received greetings from the USA from the famous researcher Kuromiy Giroaki, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Academician of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Mykhailo Stanchev joined from Sofia. At the plenary and sectional meetings, the participants discussed important questions about the role of regionalism in the conditions of full-scale war and hybrid threats (GIIIM is a participant in the Erasmus project "Academic Counteraction to Hybrid Threats"), the strategic priorities of the historical regionalism of Donetsk region, and determined the peculiarities of the regional dimension of the modern global world.
