Brief description of the project:
Project Modernization of university educational programs in foreign languages through the integration of information technologies / DigiFLEd aimed at building the potential of Ukrainian universities through the modernization and digitization of 24 university study programs of foreign language faculties in Ukrainian partner universities. In the context of the current geopolitical challenges facing Ukraine, the development of an accessible digital learning environment is crucial. DigiFLEd aims to ensure the continuity and stability of educational processes, thereby preserving and developing the potential of Ukrainian citizens for the future of our country.
The target groups of the project are students and teachers of foreign language faculties, as well as teachers of secondary educational institutions. The number of people who will be able to take advantage of the project will be approximately 1400 people.

Project goals and objectives: This project aims to improve the quality of higher education in Ukraine by strengthening the Foreign Language-related curricula with information and communication information technologies (ICTs). Its objectives are: • to address mismatches between the requirements of the labor market and the offer of HEIs; • to provide FL professionals with the necessary training in ICTs; • to foster cooperation between partner universities; • to strengthen the relationships between HEIs, schools and other stakeholders; • to enhance the visibility of the Ukrainian language and culture internationally. | |
Activities: 1. innovate curricula in terms of content (digital and transversal skills), mode (electronically mediated, accessible) and methods (engaging, interactive, real-problem-based teaching); 2. continue Bologna-type reforms via employability enhancement initiatives and quality assurance; 3. introduce hands-on training schemes for developing ICT-enhanced FL teaching products; 4. develop and launch accessible ICT-based courses and open online courses; 5. create a network of partner universities' virtual centers. | |

The purpose and tasks of the project: The goal of the project is to improve the quality of higher education in Ukraine through the improvement of educational programs in foreign languages with information and communication technologies (ICT). Project goals: 1. eliminate inconsistencies between the requirements of the labor market and the offer of vocational training; 2. provide specialists in foreign languages with the necessary ICT training; 3. expand cooperation between partner universities; 5. strengthen ties between higher education institutions, schools and other interested parties; 6. to popularize the Ukrainian language and culture at the international level. | |
Areas of activity under the project: Actions based on the EU's value propositions will also contribute to the wider EU policy objectives of innovation and digitalisation through: 1. updating educational programs in terms of content (digital and interdisciplinary skills), format (electronic, with wide access) and methods (engagement, interactive learning, problem-oriented learning); 2. continuation of the reforms of the Bologna Process by improving employment opportunities and ensuring the quality of education; 3. implementation of training programs for creating educational products for learning foreign languages using ICT; 4. development and implementation of publicly available ICT-based courses and open online courses; 5. creation of a network of virtual centers of partner universities. | |
Expected results: 1. reduction of inconsistencies between the requirements of the labor market and the offer of vocational training; 2. updating 24 university educational programs in foreign languages; 3. modernization of equipment for electronic learning in 7 higher education institutions of Ukraine; 4. improving the quality of teaching foreign languages; 5. preparation of students and teachers for the use of ICT; 6. strengthening of international relations; 7. creation of new employment opportunities; 8. improvement of international project management skills; 9. popularization of the Ukrainian language and culture at the international level. | |
