The results of the interdepartmental research work "Development and analysis of foreign language communicative strategies within the cognitive-discursive approach taking into account intercultural features" that took place during 2021-2023 were reported in the UkrINTEI system. (scientific supervisor - candidate of philology, associate professor L. V. Sukhovetska, state registration number - 0224U002139). The performers were scientists from three graduate departments of the institute - German philology, French and Spanish languages, English philology and translation.
Linguistics factors in the formation of cognitive-discursive strategies were studied: approaches to the interpretation of discourse in the linguistic-historiographical aspect; modern trends in the development of foreign language communicative strategies in an intercultural context: precedent strategies in English-language political discourse; language means of conveying the French mentality in the context of advertising discourse and the most common values in the French national consciousness are shown; strategies for the formation of youth slang and its role in the modern French language are highlighted. The literary space is used as a source of formation of intercultural competence of the secondary linguistic personality on the example of the analysis of short German stories, where gender-role stereotypes of German women in the first half of the 20th century were revealed. The analysis of artistic images in the works of English and French writers revealed the national and cultural features of the perception of the events of the First World War. The conducted research contributes to the formation of cognitive-discursive strategies for effective acquisition, memorization and assimilation of a foreign language.
The specified results are correlated with the implementation of the Erasmus+ international project "Development of the training potential of teachers of foreign languages as a path to multilingual education and European integration in Ukraine" (manager - candidate of philology, associate professor M. Yu. Shkuropat), which was also successfully completed .
State registration number upon completion of research work «Slavic languages in the modern communicative space: cognitive-discursive and linguistic-didactic aspects" was awarded to the developers of the topic - teachers of the Department of Linguistics and Slavic Languages and the Department of Ukrainian Philology (responsible executors - Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor O.L. Kolesnichenko, Ph.D., associate professor T.M. Radionova, state registration number - 0224U002273).
The purpose of the study was to reveal the potential of expressive means, their functional possibilities in creating the comic in Ukrainian and Russian humorous discourse based on the material of writers' works; in revealing to what degree of completeness and whether to the same degree Czech, Slovak and Serbo-Lussian noun correlates of the type rozlievanie ‒ rozliatie reflect the action semantics of creative polysemous verbs, as well as in revealing linguistic and extralinguistic parameters of the dynamic structure of discursive practices.
The traditional descriptive method made it possible to reveal the intra-language (typological) and extra-language (cognitive) mechanisms of creating the comic in humorous discourse. Innovative linguistic methods of contextual and component analysis made it possible to work out the connotative macro-components of the semantic structure of language units, to find out the methods of modification of language units in humorous texts.
In the process of developing the scientific topic, a cooperation agreement was concluded between the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages and the Masaryk University in Brno, which is one of the leading universities in the Czech Republic. We hope for successful continuation of cooperation with foreign colleagues.
We wish scientists further creative explorations!
