"Warm Wednesday" on Valentine's Day: we learn to communicate effectively

On February 14, 2024, Valentine's Day, another "Warm Wednesday" was held for students of both faculties of the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages. The online meeting on the topic "There is contact: how we create, maintain and interrupt communication with other people" was conducted by Tetyana Yeremeyeva, a psychologist in the direction of Gestalt therapy (BF "Slavic Heart"). The meeting was organized by the Center for Psychological Support of the Psychology Department of the Faculty of Social and Language Communication of the GIIIM. The event was held within the framework of the project "The Power of Women: The Project of Women's Activism to Improve Access to Justice and Countering GZN/SNPK" under the auspices of the UN Framework on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment.

The host of the meeting explained to the participants the meaning of the term "communication", talked about its types and types, shared advice on successful, resourceful communication, and development of communication skills.

The class had a friendly, warm atmosphere, the participants shared their thoughts and life stories related to communication, asked problematic questions, and gave their examples of resourceful and non-resourceful communication. Students received useful and important knowledge about how important it is to be in contact with yourself and others, to have resourceful communication skills and to be able to stop uncomfortable communication.

We invite everyone to the next meetings at the "Warm Wednesday" project!
