On April 4, 2024, Valeriya Tkachenko, a 2nd-year student at the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages, took part in the Open meeting of students from the MES.
at the meeting held on the initiative of the Independent National Student Union of Ukraine - Ukrainian Student Association (UAS), Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mykhailo Vynnytskyi and Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovation Sergii Babak together with representatives of student self-government bodies from different regions of Ukraine discussed:
🎓 modernization of the network of higher education institutions, as well as the rights and opportunities of students in the context of these changes, the criteria for unifying universities and their autonomy and redistribution of the budget during this process;
🎓 educational trajectories and subjectivity of the student;
crossing the border to study on academic mobility programs;
🎓 a new system of grants and state funding;
🎓 inclusive education;
🎓 financing of dormitories and payment of scholarships for students.

💫 Such meetings are important and necessary in the context of the transformation of higher education. Joint implementation of changes will help improve the quality of higher education and integrate our educational system into a single European space.
