SCIENTIFIC CONTACTS CONTINUE

In the Polish city of Lublin, the International Conference "Partnership between Poland and Ukraine in the context of changing international order", which was organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (UMKS), ended. The event was held under the patronage of Professor Andrzej Sheptytskyi, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland. Our institute was represented at the conference by the head of the department of domestic and foreign history, professor Halyna Dokashenko. The professor's report was prepared based on the materials of the Erasmus project "Academic Counteraction to Hybrid Threats". The invitation to the conference of representatives of the twice-displaced educational institution testifies to our inclusion and active position both in the educational space of Ukraine and in the European space as well.

Over the course of two days, scientists, university professors, people's deputies, and representatives of state structures discussed current issues in three thematic blocks: International environment and security in relations between Poland and Ukraine; Political, economic and social dimensions in relations between Poland and Ukraine; History, identity and memory in relations between Poland and Ukraine.

At the final plenary session, Uzhhorod University professor Fedir Sandor, who is known in Ukraine and the world as a "professor from the trenches", received the medal of St. Cyril and Methodius of the Center of Eastern Europe of the UMKS.

All participants of the conference were united in the conclusion about the need to join forces in countering hybrid threats, attempts to change the international order on the basis of autocracy and totalitarianism.
