The final seminar "Best Skills for a Better Future" was held on January 24 in Slovyansk in the TopPlace business space, organized by representatives of the Slavic Heart Charitable Foundation as part of a donation from Save the Children and the European Union. Among the participants were representatives of local authorities, Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, employment centers, educational institutions, young entrepreneurs, youth, non-governmental, partner organizations and project beneficiaries.
The event was opened by Valentina Babenkova, Head of Operations at Save the Children in Ukraine, and Lilia Zolkina, Deputy Head of the Department for Family, Youth and Sports of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
Representatives of Save the Children Anton Stukalo and Serhiy Marchenko, coordinator and specialist of the Child Poverty Prevention Program in Ukraine, spoke about the achievements, difficulties and prospects of the project in Ukraine.
Nina Nesgovorova and Valentina Tupikova, a project team of the Slavic Heart partner organization, made a presentation on increasing the competitiveness of young people in the labor market within the framework of the project.
Olena Pogorelova, National Coordinator of the SOS Children's Towns Ukraine Project, spoke about the prospects and goals of the project.
Natalia Kirkach, moderator of the event and project manager, spoke on "Youth Employment: Gender Barriers for Young Women and Men" and held an interactive discussion.
Finally, successful grant recipients, project beneficiaries and entrepreneurs from different cities of Donetsk region presented their success stories.
