ASSUMPTION TO THE PEACE OF LITERATURE, or WEEK OF SLAVIC LANGUAGES…

The week of Slavic languages for the 70th anniversary of the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages began on May 1 with the announcement of the part-time stage of the 1st Linguistic and Literary Contest of prose and poetic sketches "Spring Lingofresh", in which students of the 1st-4th years of the Faculty of Social and Language Communication took part.

On May 14, the actual start of the Week took place in the lobby of the 2nd building of the institute. The Queen and the Professor from S. Marshak's fairy tale "Twelve Months" invited everyone present to climb the peak of Verbosity with them and held a philological blitz quiz "Word Factory". Book trailers "From Antiquity to Modernity" dedicated to the history of the development of writing and the latest literature were shown on the TV screen at intervals.

On May 15, the teacher of the Department of Ukrainian Philology O.V. Kolosova conducted a master class "Electronic manual - literature of the new century" for students of the 2nd year.

On May 16, on World Embroidery Day, our young creative colleagues led by Iryna Kalyuzhnaya, a 3rd-year student majoring in "Ukrainian language and literature", organized a magical event - a flash mob "My embroidered shirt", and 1st-year students attracted teachers, students and guests of the Institute to the creation of the performance "Bouquet of Wishes".

On May 17, everyone who came at 11:10 a.m. to the assembly hall of the GIIIM witnessed a real competition between the "Sufiksiki" and "Akuly pera" teams at the philological battle "I know the power of the word...". The players demonstrated not only knowledge of language and literature, but also excellent acting skills and the ability to joke.

Hosts of the competition program, Varvara Ladonin and Milen Stetsyur, maintained an atmosphere of warmth and joy in the hall. All the guests of the holiday, without exception, were delighted with the amateur performances. The amateurs of the Faculty of Social and Language Communication once again impressed us with their stage culture, originality and emotionality of their creative manner. The poem "The Power of the Word" (pronounced by: Alina Zeynalova), the history of the institute, told by Nestor Litopysets (pronounced by: Dmytro Filippov), the song "Inyaz te vryatyuye" (pronounced: Daryna Veryutina and Maksym Shevchenko), dance " Modern motifs" (voiced by: female students of the 2nd-3rd year of FSMC), interlude "So that there will be reason - happiness" based on the play by H. Kvitka-Osnovyanenko "Courting on Goncharivka" (voiced by: Alina Zeynalova, Dmytro Ratynskyi) did not just diversify the tournament, but became its decoration.

The teams' performances were evaluated by the distinguished jury: Yulia Rostyslavivna Stukanova, deputy dean of the Faculty of Social and Language Communication; Radionova Tetyana Mykhaylivna, head of the department of Ukrainian philology; Muratova Olga Vitalyivna, head of the section of theory and history of Ukrainian literature; Olena Leonidivna Kolesnichenko, head of the Department of Linguistics and Russian Languages; Iryna Oleksandrivna Sklyar, associate professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology.

The battle with the presentation of the teams has begun. And then, for two hours, future lexicographers solved linguistic riddles, translated suggested words and phrases into Ukrainian, answered quick-response questions and recognized writers, guessed objects hidden in a black box, even performed an impromptu (!) pillow advertisement , sponges, light bulbs and a hammer. Team captains - 2nd-year student Oleksandra Babchenko and 3rd-year student Maksym Shevchenko - had to show their philological abilities. There were no indifferent people during the rounds. Spectators cheered for their fellow students and friends, supporting them with thunderous applause, and also took part in the "Pegasus Field" competition and received sweet gifts for correct answers.

And this time Friendship won!

Also during the event, the winners and participants of the "Spring Language Fresh" competition were awarded.

The final chord of the holiday was the performance of the final song "Inyazumska".

Dear "dolphins and dolphins"! We are sincerely grateful to you for the gift of the holiday. We are proud of you. All of you are our "valuable element".

However, the Week of Slavic Languages is not over yet! Watch for announcements.
