On May 23, 2019, with the assistance of the Council of Young Scientists of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages, the II All-Ukrainian Skype Seminar for Students and Young Scientists took place "Complex issues of the humanities", organized with the support of the Ukrainian Public Confidence Building Initiative (UCBI), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and dedicated to the 70th anniversary of GIIM as part of the XIII All-Ukrainian Science Festival.
During the plenary session with the inclusion of Skype and a demonstration of bright presentations, teachers, young scientists and students of GIIM had the opportunity to discuss pressing issues in the humanities, including linguistics, literature, methods of teaching language and literature, pedagogy and historical and philosophical issues. representatives of such universities in Ukraine and abroad as:
1) Donbass State Pedagogical University (Slovyansk): Lyakh Oksana Vyacheslavivna, Associate Professor of German and Slavic Philology, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences; Rudenko Marina Yuriyivna, Assistant Professor of German and Slavic Philology;
2) Kucherevich Anna Vitalievna, graduate student of the Department of Ukrainian Language at the Institute of Slavic Philology, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Poland);
3) Blacksmith Anna, master student of Chernivtsi Orthodox Theological Institute;
4) Slastyonova Daria, Tatarin Vladimir, students of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University;
5) Oblap Artem, Popov Bogdan, students of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University;
6) Kuznetsov Andrew, student of the National Pedagogical University named after MP Drahomanov (Kyiv).
Our higher education institution was worthily represented by a student of 341 groups Catherine's plane with the study of the specifics of the translation of colloquial vocabulary "Zootopia" / "Zootropolis" in Ukrainian.
Everyone present was surprised by the undergraduate Blacksmith Anna (Chernivtsi Orthodox Theological Institute), which during its report on the analysis of lexical-phraseological and semantic-stylistic features of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, mentioned the sights of Bakhmut and Bakhmut district. For example, a visual demonstration of the idiom of English. “The salt of the Earth” with the meaning of Ukrainian "The best, honest, worthy people" posted a slide with the image of the Soledar Salt Mine.
After the plenary session, the seminar continued in sections involving speakers from leading universities of Ukraine: Kharkiv Academy of Humanities and Pedagogy, Uzhhorod National University, Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University (Vinnytsia), Azov State Technical University, Melitopol Khmelnytsky State Pedagogical University. , Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after M. At the end of the event, the participants thanked the organizers of the seminar for the opportunity to share their scientific and creative research and recognized the need to organize such scientific events as often as possible.
