The digital age requires new rules of the game: a master class from a stakeholder that combined education and business

As part of the project, an extremely relevant master class was held on the topic: "Teacher as a brand: education + business." This event brought together teachers and students of all majors interested in career growth and entrepreneurship in the educational field.

The master class was held Tetyana Kucherenko – a graduate of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages (2018), a successful educational manager and a vivid example of professional realization. Ms. Tetyana is the director First Ukrainian School (Kyiv), winner of the competition World's Best School Prizes (2024), finalist Global Teacher Prize Ukraine (2021), project manager at "All-Ukrainian Online School", trainer of the New Ukrainian School, author of courses ("Creative Artificial Intelligence", "AI VS World")

Moderated the master class Iryna Sklyar, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology.

The key focus of the master class was the question: "What skills are valued in the job market today and turn a teacher into a successful brand?"

The stakeholder noted that in the era of digital transformation, academic knowledge alone is not enough. A modern teacher, in addition to deep subject expertise, must have a high level of digital skills and competencies. Particularly valuable are:

  • the ability to integrate information technologies into the educational process (as envisaged by our DigiFLEd project);
  • the ability to create personalized educational content using digital tools;
  • skills in promoting and "packaging" their educational services (personal brand) in the digital space.

According to Tetyana Kucherenko, teachers who invest in their digital and personal brand not only remain competitive, but also receive significantly wider opportunities for collaboration and revenue growth in both academic and business environments.

The participants of the master class — teachers, students and postgraduates — received practical advice on creating a strong professional image and effectively using digital platforms to develop your own educational business.

The master class was an important step in introducing innovative approaches to training a modern teacher capable of leadership and effective use digital potential.
