On October 28, 2025, the Department of English Philology and Translation of the Faculty of Social and Linguistic Communication of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages of the State Higher Educational Institution of the State University of Pedagogical Sciences#DigiFLEd). The guarantor of educational and professional programs in philology, translation, Assoc. Prof. Yasinetska O.A., emphasized the importance of teaching the courses “Translation Technologies”, “Technologies for Specialized Translation (English and Ukrainian)” and “Digital Technologies in Creating Educational and Translation Content”, as well as the technological provision of academic disciplines in business, scientific-technical and socio-political translation for the comprehensive training of future translators in the educational and professional programs “Philology. Translation” and “Translation and Intercultural Communication”. Master's student K.S. Fedchun shared her successful experience of study, practice and professional development, paying attention to the use of Trados Studio, memoQ, Phrase, MateCat, Protemos, TQA and Aegisub. M.A. Yepanov (director of LLC "MDDK") spoke about the peculiarities of the work of a full-time translator and the importance of using technological innovations, emphasized the relevance of introducing students to modern professional platforms and programs as early as possible, supported the opportunity for 3rd-year students to also undergo translation practice in his translation agency, and noted the successful, competent work of our graduate M.M. Psaryev in them. The cooperation of the Department of English Philology and Translation with partners - in particular, with stakeholders from Alma Mater (director O.S. Shlapakov) and LLC "MDDK" (director M.A. Yepanov), as well as "Profpereklad", "Linguistic Center", "Admiral", "MovaPro", Il Gatto, NGO "Ecological Initiative" and Technolex - gives students the opportunity to gain practical skills in the work of a translator and acquire a systematic approach to completing tasks, checking translations and using specialized software. We wish everyone to demonstrate their abilities, gain valuable experience, effectively apply the latest technologies, understand the specifics of the profession, work successfully and confidently achieve their goals.
