General meeting of the staff

August 29, 2019 The general meeting of the staff of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages of the Donbass State Pedagogical University took place.

The meeting was opened by the Acting Chairman of the Trade Union of Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages Kovalska NV, who congratulated the team on the new school year, announced the agenda of the meeting and regulations. According to the proposals of the employees, the presidium, the secretary, the counting commission and the editorial board were elected.

The following issues were considered on the agenda:

  1. On the implementation of the work plan of GIIM for 2018-2019 academic year and about the tasks of the staff of the institute for 2019-2020 academic year.

The first question was addressed by the director of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages EM Belitska, who reported on the implementation of the work plan of GIIM in 2018 - 2019 academic year, noting the achievements of team members and key priorities of the new school year.

Among the main achievements were the success of the institute in building the material and technical base, in particular, receiving a grant from the European Union in the amount of 750,000 euros to complete the renovation of the hostel on Tchaikovsky Street, 63. This will improve housing and employees of the institute. Yevheniya Mykolayivna Belitska congratulated the team on participation in two Erasmus + projects. Other projects and programs in which the Institute will participate during the 2019-2020 academic year were discussed.

On the second issue, the executive secretary of the selection committee LV Kokorina reported on the results of the work of the selection committee in 2019. In her report, LV Kokorina thanked all those who worked in the selection committee, noting that this year's admission campaign was difficult but successful. The institute not only fulfilled the state order at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of education, but also invited additional budget places. Lyudmyla Volodymyrivna Kokorina suggested discussing the action plan for career guidance at the next meeting of the selection committee.

During the consideration of the third issue of the agenda, the jubilees were greeted and events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the institute were discussed.

Closing the meeting, Kovalska NV wished the staff of the Institute inspiration and success in the new academic year and expressed confidence that our united team will continue to work fruitfully to increase the competitiveness of the institute and bring it to the top of the rankings of Ukrainian universities.
