Media and information literacy course: "????????????: ? ???????? ????? ????????"  

On September 23, the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages will join the project "Study and Distinguish: Info-Media Literacy". The project is implemented in secondary and higher education institutions by the Council for International Research and Exchanges ????????????? with the support of the US Embassy and the British Embassy in Ukraine.

The first part of this project will be a five-week English course "Veryverified: a CourseonMediaLiteracy ”. The peculiarity of the course is that it is presented in the format of blended learning. Training materials provide practical skills of information literacy, develop critical thinking and encourage "healthy consumption of information". The online course was developed by an international organization IREX inUkraine in partnership with an online education studio EdEra.

Most of the information in the form of short reading materials, videos and animated tapes will be available to listeners through a specially designed platform. In addition, they will meet in person with the facilitator of the course, Associate Professor of GIIM Marina Shkuropat to participate in training and processing of material. The English version of the course will help improve students' language skills and speaking skills, namely: reading, listening, writing, speaking; will teach fluent English communication while working in a team.

Upon completion of the course, all participants will receive certificates.
