December 17, 2021 Teachers of the Department of English Philology and Translation of the Faculty of Social and Linguistic Communication organized an online meeting with students of 10-11 grades of 4 secondary schools:

1) Paraskoviyivska comprehensive school of I-III degrees of Soledar city council of Donetsk region;

2) Belozersk comprehensive school of I-III degrees № 13 of Belozersk city council of Donetsk region;

3) Novodonetsk institution of general secondary education of I-III degrees № 16 of Novodonetsk village council of Donetsk region;

4) Lysychansk Lyceum № 17 of the Severodonetsk district of the Luhansk region.

The acquaintance began with informing potential entrants about GIIM as a structurally separate unit of SHEI (Bakhmut), faculties of higher education institutions, specialties of faculties, the opportunity to study on a budget basis and receive a scholarship, the necessary certificates of external evaluation for admission. Ukraine ", comfortable conditions for study and recreation, highly qualified teachers, the official website and social networks of GIIM. The guests were also invited to watch the video "Walls of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages".

After the official part, the meeting continued with an informative and intellectual event dedicated to St. Nicholas Day and the traditions of its celebration in English-speaking countries, which students-translators of 242 groups prepared for the guests. The audience was offered meaningful bright presentations, quizzes on the Kahoot platform! and a video showing the life of St. Nicholas, full of good deeds and countless miracles.
