War is not a word now, but a reality. As if each of us did not want peace…

Peace, independence and integrity of the state are fought for by our guys - the real heroes of today. Our best, talented, courageous students of GIIM do not stand aside. We managed to talk to Ivan Mitrofanov, a student of 111, who recently came to the educational department and was going to be the editor of our magazine. Now he is in the military. Ivan told the story of his life.

"Sometimes there comes a time when you can no longer stand aside, when you have to take matters into your own hands and do everything in your power to resolve it. I thought about this when, on the first day of the full-scale Nazi invasion, I left and enlisted in the Territorial Defense Battalion. On the morning of February 24, everything fell into the background - health, financial ambitions; suddenly the realization came that the world I was used to seeing could be destroyed by the occupiers. My family is in danger, as is my institute, so we have been fighting for a peaceful future for Ukraine for 68 days.

I did not expect that in my student years I would be engaged in something other than self-development and learning in my favorite INYAZ.

By nature, I am far from a military man, and at the age of 18 I plan to start a political career in order to make the lives of Ukrainians better. Like my father, I am attracted to foreign languages, psychology and intellectual activity, which led to joining INYAZ.

I admire such Ukrainian politicians as Vyacheslav Chornovil, Volodymyr Vynnychenko, as well as Western ones such as Abraham Lincoln and Donald Trump.

I dream of a peaceful and happy life in Ukraine. "
