The victory of the GIIM application in the competition of small grant projects from the Fulbright Program in Ukraine.

The second round of consideration and approval of small grant projects was held within the framework of the project "Strengthening Ukrainian Displaced Universities for Sustainable Development" (SUDUS) from the Fulbright Program in Ukraine. The project is aimed at supporting the further development of displaced Ukrainian universities in 2022-2023.

The Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages of the DVNZ of the DDPU submitted two applications for participation in the competition:

1. "Implementation of the internal process management system (BPM) for the effective digital transformation of the HYIM"

2. "Creating a virtual student space: Virtual Student Hub for better interaction and support." Both projects were prepared by Assoc. Assoc. Department of English Philology and Translation, responsible for international work Shkuropat M.Yu.

After careful consideration and discussion of the applications, the tender committee, which included representatives of the US Embassy in Ukraine, experts in the field of higher education of Ukraine, project consultants and employees of the Program named after Fulbright, approved for financing 7 projects out of 23 applications.

Among our funding applications, the project "Implementation of an internal process management system for effective digital transformation of the Institute of Medical Sciences" received funding, which involves the ordering and implementation of a modern BPM system that will solve the issue of internal information and document circulation between the structural divisions of the Institute.

As a result of this project, it is planned to optimize the work of all structural divisions involved in the exchange of documents and information, which will contribute to the establishment of effective communication and further digitalization of the State Institute of Internal Affairs and Communications.

The administration of GIIIM has already started consultations with Ukrainian IT companies-developers of BPM systems and studying the possibilities of their modification to meet the needs of the university education management system.

We will remind that this is the third project financed this year by the Program named after Fulbright in Ukraine. As of now, the following projects are being implemented:

"Digitalization of management and educational processes at the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages" (author and executor, associate professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology, head of the higher education quality monitoring department of the GIIIM Sklyar I. O.), which provides for the implementation of the "Electronic Dean's Office + University" system, and the project "Technological modernization of educational courses" (author and executor of the project, Associate Professor of the Department of English Philology and Translation O. A. Yasinetska), according to which a system of simultaneous translation for training translators was purchased and is currently being introduced into the educational process.
